GP Appointments
Routine GP appointments can be booked by calling 0141 644 2356, Monday to Friday 08:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30. Same day urgent care appointments can be booked on the day. Please note this is for patients who are unwell on the day and cannot wait. There are a limited number of same day appointments available. Please call at 08:30am. The practice cannot guarantee a specific time for these types of appointments. These are allocated on a first come first served basis.
Late Surgery
These clinics operate 17:30- 18:45 pm twice a month on Thursdays. These appointments are to accommodate patients with routine issues who cannot attend during normal working hours.
Practice Nurse Clinic.
The Practice Nurse provides appointments for chronic disease monitoring, minor wound dressing and routine smear tests. These take place on Tuesday and Friday mornings between 8.30am to 12.30pm.
Healthcare Support Worker Clinics
Our Healthcare support workers take blood samples, height and weight measurements, process urine samples, remove stitches and staples after surgery and administer Vitamin B12 injections.
Link Worker Clinics
Our Link Worker is part of the Recovery Across Mental Health program (RAMH). RAMH promotes recovery from mental ill health, and empowers people to build independent, fulfilled lives.
A wide range of free and confidential services are offered. Please contact the practice to book an appointment. Please note appointments are available Wednesday afternoons 1.30pm to 4.30pm and Thursday mornings 10.00am to 12.00pm. Appointments for this service continue to be over the phone.
Pharmacist
If you contact the practice with a medication query or have been recently discharged from hospital, we may book you with our Pharmacist, who is the expert on medication. Our Pharmacist clinics run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 13:00-16:30pm. The Pharmacists will also carry out complex medication reviews for the following patients:
-those who have high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes
-Women prescribed HRT
-patients with chronic pain
-Women prescribed the oral contraceptive pill
Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner
The practice can offer appointments with an Advanced Physiotherapist. If you have a musculoskeletal issue, the physiotherapist is the most appropriate health professional to assess you. There is no need to see the GP first. The Advanced physio can order medical imaging (x-rays) and can refer you on to Orthopaedics, if required. Clinics take place on Wednesday afternoons 13:00- 16:00 and Thursdays 08:30- 12:00.
Other Services
Baby checks and 6 week postnatal checks are carried out at the practice. Please aim to have registered the baby’s birth before booking an appointment. A double appointment with the regular GP is required.
Travel Clinics are no longer provided by GP practices. Patients are asked to engage with the Fit for Travel service provided by City Docs Home – Fit for Travel.
Childhood Immunisations are not administered by GP practices. Parents will receive direct appointments for children to attend local clinics.
Seasonal Flu vaccines, Shingles and Pneumococcal Vaccines are now all provided by the healthboard and eligible patients will receive invites to attend clinics locally.
